Employment Week
will take place on 24-25 November 2010
at Management Centre Europe in Brussels.

As an annual exhibition and conference focusing on the major social and economic issues surrounding employment, Employment Week creates a unique discussion and meeting forum. Organised in close cooperation with DG Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, the event attracts a wide range of individuals, businesses, social partners and government policy makers from across the EU and beyond.

Each year Employment Week reflects the relevant initiatives and policies emerging from the EU Commission and its many associated bodies, and looks at how the various stakeholders and actors in the 27 EU member states face up to the ever-changing situation.

Every November, the DG publishes its Employment in Europe report. In 2010, employment is once more likely to be a key economic and social force and Employment Week will offer a timely opportunity to exchange views and opinions on Europe’s strategy to deal with the issues raised and to discuss the findings of the report. Employment Week will also focus on the key EU themes for 2010 and 2011 – tackling poverty and social exclusion and exploring the EU wide benefits of volunteering.

The Advisory Committee, charged with developing the conference programme, will continue to meet and work with DG Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities to develop the themes, topics and speakers in the forthcoming weeks. Updates will be published at www.employmentweek.com.
