The objective of the workshop, moderated by Martine Aitken, Project Coordinator for the European Road Safety Charter, was to increase contribution for road safety on an Enterprise level. Sarah Copsey, Project Manager in the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, focused on the idea that all employers have a duty to manage risks and contribute to activities that train and involve workers in Health and Safety issues. Ellen Townsend, Policy Director in the European Transport Safety Council presented the three main killers in road related incidents: Speed, Alcohol and Seatbelts. Gabriel Kardos, Fleet Safety Manager Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) for Johnson and Johnson, presented various fleet safety programs developed under NETS – the Network of Employers for Traffic Safety.
