European Road Safety Charter - Interviews "Ideas from the winners"

The winners have been interviewed according to their respective category. All six winners have expressed their will to exchange ideas and experience with other organisations within the Charter. B. Slijkhuis from ANBO, stated: "In fact we are already doing that. We are collaborating with more than ten organisations at national level". Vilius Lauzikas representative of the winner in the category of Small Medium Enterprises, Busturas, responded to the following question ¨What results do you expect to see from your commitment?¨ by saying that he can already see some results within the company, having already reduced by 50% the number of road accidents. For the first time, the winner in the category Cities and Regions was a commitment from two cities on the borders Verin (Spain) and Chaves (Portugal) that have set up a very innovative collaboration to improve road safety. Fernando Castro Salgado from Spain, representing these cities, said: ¨The objective is clear and that is to decrease the accidents and the number of fatalities on the roads between Chaves and Verin.¨
