International forum in Muenster, Germania (in inglese)

Data: 01/06/2006

the European Youth Parliament (EYP) is organizing an International forum in the city of Muenster, Germany from the 28.06. - 02.07.2006. We are currently looking for delegates from all over Europe to take part in our session.

The forum will unite young people (aged 17-20) from all over Europe to discuss political topics in internationally mixed groups. As the forum will take place during the FIFA World Cup, the main topic of the forum is Security - in all its different facets.

Besides discussion and debate in a parliamentary simulation, we will, of course, celebrate Europe in every way possible (EuroVillage; EuroParties in the famous Gleis22 in Muenster) and watch the 1/4 finals of the World Cup together (no, we don't have tickets, we'll be watching it together at a public screening)

The forum is split into three parts: Teambuilding, Committee Work and General Assembly.

After the delegates have been split into Committees, each is teambuilt by an experienced EYP facilitator. The next days are devoted to discussion in committee work, during which each committee writes a resolution on a previously chosen topic. These topics are debates in General Assembly, the final stadium of the session, during which the delegates simulate the European Parliament, discuss their resolutions and vote on them.

Besides this "formal" part, there are, as mentioned, informal events, parties, a small football tournament with Uli Stein (German National Football Team to the World Cup 1986) etc.

For further information on the forum, please visit www.eyp.de or www.kick-it-like-eyp.de or contact me ([email protected])

It would be fantastic to have delegates from all over Europe come together in Germany to celebrate Europe and to celebrate fooball!

Hope to see you at the KICK-IT Forum in Muenster!
