Dear possible volunteer,
I would like to let you know there are a number of free places in Summer Workcamps in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain.
These Summer Workcamps are managed by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha and the Directorate General for Youth. AFEMJO-CLM, Association towards the Improvement of Youth Employment, is the NGO that coordinates the activities within the Summer Workcamps.
If you are interested in short term volunteering, please, give the following steps:
1.- Read the attachment describing the concept of ‘Summer Workcamp’ to know more about it and to check out if it fits in your interests.
2.- Visit the websites:

You will find all the information about the Programme of Volunteering in Summer Workcamps in Castilla-La Mancha both from the part of the Regional Government and from the part of AFEMJO-CLM as coordinating organization.
3.- Read carefully the attachment listing all the available places in Summer Workcamps: you will find a brief description of the activities in every Summer Workcamp and the number of free places.
4.- Bureaucratic system:
4.1.- Fulfil and sign the Application Form in English or in French: some conditions and basic rules in the Summer Workcamps are explained on the form.
4.2.- Make a payment of 72 € to the following bank account:

This amount is to cover a part of the expenses for your medical and health insurance as a volunteer.
4.3.- Send the Application Form and the receipt of bank payment:
4.3.1.- By e-mail (scanned and attached) to [email protected] and/or
4.3.2.- By fax: 0034 926 256 774 (to the attention of Mr. Adolfo Patón or Mrs. Beatriz Ortiz)
IMPORTANT ! ! ! the available places are automatically assigned: it is a “first come, first served” system, so to speak. The place is assigned once we have the Application Form and the bank receipt.
We will confirm your enrolment in the selected Summer Workcamp both by phone (keep your cellular on, please ! ! !) and by e-mail.
It is important for you to know that the programme COVERS:
- Lodging in youth hostels during the Summer Workcamp span.
- Food: breakfast, snack, lunch & dinner during the Summer Workcamp span.
- Health insurance.
- Materials both for the development relating the central activity in the Summer Workcamp and for the complementary activities (workshops, for example).
- Transport from the lodging to the point of work (if applicable).
- Travel costs derived from tourist visits organized by the monitors/leaders within the context of the Summer Workcamp.
However, the Programme DOES NOT COVER:
- Travel expenses from your country to the Summer Workcamp and back.
