Call for facilitator for the "Working meeting of trainers of EVS training sessions cooperating with SALTO SEE"
31st May (arrival in afternoon) - 3rd June 2012 (departure in the morning), Zagreb region, Croatia (venue to be confirmed) = 2 working days
Background
• The meeting will bring together cca 15 trainers from the pool of trainers of SALTO SEE implementing the training and evaluation cycle for EVS volunteers in SEE.
• In spring 2008, SALTO SEE held a first consultative training of EVS trainers to develop the concepts to be used within the training cycle for EVS volunteers. Since then the concepts have been applied and developed further by individual trainers.
• In spring 2010, SALTO SEE held working meeting of multipliers cooperating with SALTO SEE and the Slovenian National Agency, EVS trainers took part in it. The purpose of this meeting was twofold: Firstly, each group of multipliers (accreditors, Contact Points for the Programme in SEE and EVS trainers) reviewed and further developed issues of relevance for their field of work. Second, all multipliers jointly discussed topics of cross-cutting relevance for their work in the region in the frame of the Programme.
Objectives of the meeting:
• Bring EVS trainers together to share knowledge, experience, questions and concerns.
• By doing so, increase the capacities of all the EVS trainers.
• Review concepts, tasks, strategies and procedures of EVS trainers on the basis of jointly identified and shared priorities.
• Increase cooperation among EVS trainers in the on-going tasks beyond the meeting.

• The working language of the meeting will be English.
• In total cca. 15 EVS trainers cooperating with SALTO SEE.
• The programme of activities will be carried out by the facilitator together with SALTO SEE staff.
Facilitator profile
• Sound knowledge of the Youth in Action programme, and EVS in particular;
• Expertise in methods that can be used to stimulate ideas, discussion and plans for the future in a diverse group of participants;
• Experience in facilitating other working meetings within the Youth in Action programme, or similar programmes and settings;
• Ability and readiness to work in international teams as well as autonomously;
• Overall trainer competences with regard to working with groups in non-formal educational and youth work settings;
• Experience / interest in working with South East Europe.
Time involvement and fee
A one day preparatory meeting is planned for April/first half of May in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Dates will be looked into and agreed with the selected facilitator.
The selected facilitator is expected to:
• Participate in the preparatory meeting for one full working day;
• Carry out the programme of activities as agreed;
• Contribute to the final report of the meeting;
• The facilitator will receive a fee of 280,00 EUR per day for 5 days, which is in total 1.400,00 EUR;
• SALTO SEE will give priority to applications by trainers who can be contracted through an organisation or company.
