Youth workers (20+), working directly with young people (20+) facing difficulties in terms of social inclusion.

Group size : 25 young people aged 20+(5 countries - 25 participants form each country) .
Summary:
To help young people see their unique role in society and to understand the importance of their participation in the life of their community and their contribution to its development (from their school to their town).
The project aims at:
helping young people see their unique role in society and to understand the importance of their participation in the life of their community and their contribution to its development (from their school to their town).
The project is:
addressing the issue of youth inclusion, a new concept for Turkey, with the introduction of innovative approaches such as:
• using volunteerism as a tool for achieving local development goals;
• bridging the gap between young people from rural and urban areas;
• introducing as a tool for youth social activism;
• creating an environment for social community projects;
• and fostering inter-generational dialogue.
A particular emphasis is placed on working with marginalized, socially-excluded young women and men who, due to geographic, economic, gender and/or cultural barriers, are disadvantaged in today's Turkey society. The project will empower young women and men and increase both the number of volunteers as well as the number of meaningful volunteerism opportunities in rural and urban communities throughout Turkey.
What is the Project's Mission?
• To engage youth in active and effective participation in the life of their community;
• To form the skills necessary for youth for the achievement of success in their adult lives: computer literacy, critical thinking and effective teamwork;
• To create a Youth Web Portal for the education and communication of youth in Turkey.
Objectives:
• To bring a clear view on the possibilities in the (new)Youth in Action programme;
• To provide pedagogical support and time for the participants to develop their own activities in the frame of the Youth in action programme;
• To support the inter cultural and inter professional exchange between participants;
• Stimulating long term cooperation between similar international organizations;
• Prevention of potential troubles and difficulties during international projects.
Costs:
70 % of the real travel costs, and food & accomadation will be covered by the Youth programme.
