Il network Kairos Jeunesse organizza un training course e ricerca partecipanti italiani.

The network of Kairos Jeunesse (www.kairosjeunesse.org)– hosting and organizing this proposed event – is looking for collaborative work with very strongly committed individuals as well. We would the same way like to find other individuals from Italy whom shell contribute to what the organization works for by representing similar values - and are ready to act toward realization of future works for better achieving goals like we represent with this event now.

The event will be run in Bosnia Herzegovina, in early August this year and is focusing on intercultural dialogue between nations and cultures.
For details I add the description of the project

Title: Town on Two Rivers: where Interculturality meets Global Challenge

The project’s base will be intercultural dialogue in Foèa, Bosnia and Herzegovina, town and the area around that is slowly looking for it,
despite numerous difficulties. Starting from that we’ll search for raising the awareness towards global challenges, sustainable development and environment protection, that will in its turn empower intercultural dialogue and make it sustainable. In order to reach that we’ll use creative methods and innovation that will help produce visible and touchable results. The project will try to advance on the local community level, together with different groups coming from Belgium, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia (25 persons in all) during 9 working days from 6th to 16th of August, showing that diversity is an asset for the innovation and creativity. Using combination of non-formal education techniques (workshops, discussions, visits to organizations and disadvantaged groups etc.) project aims to develop self-confidence, intercultural, inter-personal and civic competencies of future trainers by learning together, and creatively changing social practices and habits in the field of intercultural dialogue and global challenges.

Objectives:

- Show the importance of intercultural dialogue for creating diversity in a society.

- Prove that intercultural is linked with the global challenges that are in front of us. Locally in this project we’ll explore the examples and undergoing project in municipality of Foèa and the role of youth in it

- Improve and build participant’s knowledge, skills and attitudes by providing a training to trainers, running educational activities with intercultural dimension

- Protect cultural heritage, environment and promote rural development by learning the semi nomadic way of life of the villagers, in pastures of high mountain, where they move during July and August. Link this way of life that is in synchronisation with the nature and the respect of environment which is again linked with the global challenges such as change of climate.

- Develop the motivation and the sense of initiatives in the participants in order to create the creativity in themselves

- Develop self-confidence, intercultural, inter-personal and civic competences needed for the participants to successfully live in increasingly diverse societies, that will also foster their creativity
