Countryside Criss crossing City Huelva 20-29 October 2009
PROJECT: This youth exchange is part of an project, called "COUNTRYSIDE CRISSCROSSING CITY - When the common European Identity bridges the gap between Rural and Urban".
DeAmicitia and the partners (Sci Italy; Messzelrtn Egyesulet - Hungary; Centro Internazionale Crocevia - Italy) are all active in the field of sustainable development, food sovereignty and relationship between coutryside and city. The Youth Exchange will support the activities in Huelva- a very industrialized city but complitely surrounded by natural parks and a very peculiar environment- during the month of Volunteering.
During this month, all the local associations and ngos organize activities and event to raise awareness on certain topics or to be known by local population.
De Amicitia, toghether with Mesa de la Ria (the local partner) will organize raising awareness activites on biological agriculture, composting self production and "km 0 food".Volunteers will support the preparation and the mantainance of a small garden in the Moret Park of Huelva, by watering, planting, composting, and showing local population the value of ecological gardening. There will be the possiblility of interacting and cooperating with the local ecological buyng group, some fair traide association, in order to explain the whole phases of the process.
Accomodation and Food will be covered by the project, Travel costs will be reimboursed only partially.
