Summary:
By hosting international volunteers the european horizon of the staff and trainees has been widened. The volunteers increase the cultural life and they are contact person especially for the young people. The children and young people in UBV´s youth club and the trainees at UBV can loose their inhibitions while having contact to foreigners and the importance of learning foreign languages has been increased. The participation of volunteers in our organisation has also a great influence on the improvement of the mobility and tolerance of the young people.

Selection:
The volunteer should be prepared for challenges. He/she should be communicative and be used to deal with children, young people and also other adult people. We expect tolerance, helpfulness and the intention to learn the german language.

Tasks:
The volunteer will work in a youth club in a district of Schwedt where a lot of families have got big social problems. The children and young people who visit the youth club are in the age of 6-30 years. The volunteer will support the staff of the youth club. The activities can for instance be playing games, sport activities, handicrafts, excursions and outdoor activities, as on the BMX yard. We would appreciate own ideas of the volunteers to improve the cultural live of UBV with its different projects and also of our town.
The volunteers have got the chance to use all cultural institutions and to get to know Germany well, for instance by taking part in youth meetings.
