Week by week more entities are joining the European Road Safety Charter – and very soon Europe’s biggest platform for road safety will welcome the 2000th signatory! We would like to thank all the signatories for their continuous commitment. Between 2001 and 2009 fatalities have lowered by 36 per cent in the European Union – your actions have contributed to this success. However, there is still a lot to be done. This is why the European Commission has published a Road Safety Action Programme 2011-2020 this summer.
