Excellent observations on road safety should be awarded - as should be excellent actions for improving road safety. This is why the Charter every year looks for the best examples on good or bad road safety practice observed by citizens all over Europe and for the most innovative actions of charter signatories.
These days we are finishing the pre-selection on the numerous entries for the ERSC Summer Contest. The participation this year was tremendous – a big “thank you” to all of you! A jury of the European Commission will now have the very hard job to select the five best entries among the impressive pictures, videos and short stories we have received. Check the pre-selection on the ERSC website soon!
The big day for charter signatories will be at the beginning of 2011. The most innovative commitments in each of the six categories (large companies and multinationals, small and medium sized companies, federations/associations, institutions, NGOs, regions and cities) will be honoured with the Excellence in Road Safety Award by European Commission Vice-President Siim Kallas, responsible for Transport, in Brussels.
