Education, Experience and Language Skills

- Advanced university degree (Ph.D.) in physics, chemistry or geochemistry.
- At least 7 years of working experience in the operation/use of tritium analysis systems and/or dual-inlet mass spectrometers for hydrogeological research.
- Experience in statistical analysis of analytical data and laboratory inter-comparisons.
- Experience and skills as a supervisor/mentor, working with junior staff/technicians to operate laboratory facilities and use of analytical data for isotope hydrology.
- Experience in mentoring students/junior staff and in coordinating their work.
- Experience with laser spectroscopy desirable.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.


Remuneration

The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $67 395 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $43 942*, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; 6 weeks' annual vacation, home leave, pension plan and health insurance. * Subject to change without notice
