Latin America program Intern - Partners for Democratic Change, United States

Partners is seeking an intern to work on Latin America programs to: assist with tasks for Latin America program implementation, including report editing, preparing financial documents, and other program support tasks; assist in event planning and preparation; conduct and summarize country-specific and subject-area research; attend meetings/presentations and provide summary information to senior staff; develop presentations and interactive exercises; help prepare proposals for future projects; brainstorm program ideas; and conduct other administrative or program-related duties as needed. A stipend of $10 per hour is available. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to an international non-profit working in the field of change and conflict management.


Position Title: Latin America Program Intern, Part-time (20 hours).


Qualifications: Relevant work experience and interest in Latin America region; graduate-level studies; strong research, writing and editing skills; computer proficiency; excellent interpersonal skills; and a desire to learn. Knowledge of Spanish language is preferred.


Start/End Dates: June – August 2011 & possibility of extension for next semester.


Deadline: May-31-2011.
