Work Experience:

A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area. Experience with the UN, national government or Non-Governmental Organizatiions (NGOs), or other relevant organization. Evidence of a track record in post-conflict programme management and experience in handling complex organizational issues. Experience in post-conflict situations and/or peacebuilding operations within or associated with the UN system is desirable. Experience in liaising with government agencies, UN funds and programmes, donors and other stakeholders, and training in M&E and results-based programming is desirable.


Languages:

English and French are the two working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in English is required. Fluency in French or Spanish is desirable.

Assessment Method:

Evaluation of qualified applicants may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by a competency-based interview.

Staff Members are subject to the authority of the Secretary-General and to assignment by him or her. In this context, all Staff are expected to move periodically to new functions In their careers In accordance with established rules and procedures.
