Call for trainers: "Factory of change" Training Course

The Polish National Agency of the Youth in Action Programme is looking for 1 non-polish trainer, who will be involved in preparation and carrying out of the "Factory of change" Training Course in cooperation with two Polish trainers.


Aim of the TC

To provide youth workers with potential based approach to problems and challenges. TC will promote a shift of thinking from problem oriented into solution and development oriented, thus helping to increase the quality of youth work.


Objectives:

- to increase the quality of youth work on different levels (level of management, level of organization, youth group level);
- become aware of diverse mechanisms and systems which may block development on the levels described above;
- change the paradigm of youth work from problem oriented into solution and development-oriented;
- to empower youth workers in their everyday work.


How:

- by experiencing the change;
- by combining diverse potential-based approaches towards problems and challenges (Appreciative Inquiry, Questions Thinking, Erickson approach, creativity process, change management, system thinking, and more);
- by working on practical tools to be implemented in youth organizations and youth groups.


Target group of the TC

The target group of the training course is youth workers andyouth leaders who realize projects in frame of the Youth in Action Programme.


Dates and venue

Place: Konstancin-Jeziorna (in the neighbourhood of Warsaw), Poland
Proposed dates: 24-29 April 2012 (trainers arrive one day before)


Team

- 3 trainers - responsible for programme flow, methodology and final report. 1 non-polish trainer and 2 members of Polish Trainers- Pool (Dagna Gmitrowicz and Eliza Zadluzna);
- representative of Polish NA - responsible for the organisational part of the training (concept, promotion of the training, co-operation with other NAs, recruitment of participants, logistics, etc.).


Trainers profile

Candidates shall:

- have experience in non-formal education;
- have rich experience in the topic of TC;
- have at least 3 experiences as trainer in international training courses;
- have knowledge about the Youth in Action Programme;
- have very good level of spoken and written English language.


Tasks / duties of trainers

The tasks of the trainers include the following:

- to be prepared before and actively attend the preparatory meeting (19-20.12.2011);
- to implement the training;
- to evaluate the training;
- to prepare the training's report together with the other trainers.


Trainer's fee

- 8 paid days (200 Euro per day)
- 4 working days during the training course;
- plus 4 days for preparation and evaluation (including individual and team preparation, prep-meeting, on-going and final evaluation directly after the training + final report; prep-meeting dates and final report are not extra paid);
- board, lodging and travel costs are covered by organisers.


Preparatory meeting

The prep-meeting is planned on 19-20.12.2011.
