Open call: Marketing & Communication intern in Brussels

Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is one of the biggest non-profit interdisciplinary student associations in Europe, founded in 1989 for supporting and developing student exchange. ESN is present in more than 370 Higher Education Institutions from 35 countries. ESN works for the creation of a more mobile and flexible education environment by supporting and developing student exchanges on different levels, and providing an intercultural experience also to those students who cannot access a period abroad ('internationalisation at home').

The board of ESN International, based in Brussels, is looking for a marketing and communication intern to begin working on 1st November 2011.

Job description:
- Marketing and implementation of ESN partnerships- Management of advertising on esn.org;
- Updating the ESN websites;
- Assist Communication Manager with Social Media and other external communication channels such as the newsletter;
- Other communication related tasks.

Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of a Bachelor degree;
- Communication and marketing experience;
- Knowledge of the Erasmus Student Network and its work on the international level;
- Good level of English - spoken and written;
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office package;
- Used to concepts like Social Media;
- Knowledge in the Adobe series or other similar editing tools appreciated;
- Precise and organised way of working;
- Experience in negotiations;
- Capability of taking initiative;
- Capability of working in a team as well as independently;
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment;
- Quick-learner;
- Flexibility with working hours.

Highly valued:
- Professional work experience;
- Bachelor level qualification in a communication or marketing related subject;
- Fluency in other European languages;
- Previous experience of working in a multi-cultural environment.

- Full-time internship for 3 months with a 3 months extension possible (starting from 1st November 2011). Salary to be discussed;
