The role: Head of Media Buying Solutions

The Media Buying Solutions team offers to top agencies and large, sophisticated advertisers more integrated and streamlined services to support them in growing their online media activities through better technology. We see our technology platforms and solutions as being the operating system for the entire Global Online Display industry, and a core element of Googles Display strategy growth plans. As Head of Media Buying Solutions, you will have a unique opportunity to be a key, high-visibility player of the Google’s display strategy in Italy.

Your main role will be to define the development strategy for the Media Buying Solutions offers, including the Doubleclick Ad serving Products suite and Invite Media, to growth the revenues and to manage the team in charge of the daily management of our Italian customers (Media Agencies, Ad Network, Marketers).

We are looking for sharp, analytical minds that can solve complex problems, develop relationships with key clients in the ever-evolving display medium, and serve as part of a high-energy team that is working with the world's largest media agencies and marketers to transform the display industry.

Responsibilities:
- Hit team revenue targets in Italy by maximizing adoption/usage of Media Buying Solution offers.
- Develop and support the team in developing key account plans including growth opportunity identification, action planning, revenue forecasting.
- Create relationships at C-level within the customers organization including senior executives and usage/repurchase decision makers.
- Identify and support the team in identifying potential up-sell/new customer opportunities; structure proposals (including offer, pricing, legal and operational implications) working with internal support functions, negotiate and close deals.
- Build and maintain a thorough understanding of the Media Buying offers and theirs competitive advantages, actively monitor the competitive landscape and establish a feed-back loop with Google’s Product Development team.


Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, MBA strongly preferred.
- Strong hands-on relationship management experience with a proven track record in reaching and exceeding quotas.
- Profound understanding of the online advertising industry, including knowledge of the underlying technology, major companies, and research, and experience with advertising agencies, ad networks and/or advertising technology companies, connections/network in the industry is a major plus, including global decision-makers and influencers.
- Demonstrated success at working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships across departments including sales, marketing, business development, engineering and product management.
- Demonstrated strategic and analytical sales approach with focus on building relationships with top tier clients.
- Fluency in Italian and English required, other EU languages ability a plus.
