Google Sales teams are structured according to industry sectors, with the Local and Media team focussing on sales and relationship management with key industry clients and marketing services agencies in the technology and telecommunications sectors.


The role: Industry Lead Travel and Automotive

The Industry Leader for the Italian market will be responsible for driving strategy to grow Google's advertising revenue and customer base in both the Travel & Automotive industries. The role is responsible for leading a highly motivated and dynamic team based in Milan but operating and covering the entire Italian territory. You'll be the face of Google in the Italian market and will be expected to consult and partner with C-Level executives in the Travel & Automotive sectors, senior agency contacts, key clients and prospects. The Industry Leader will be a key member of the Italian management team, interacting with all cross functional teams to help drive success across the Italian business.


Responsibilities:

- Build, motivate and grow a single integrated sales team with the right balance of resources to develop advertising solutions for Italy largest advertising clients and grow the market for Google.
- Build strong bridges between the local team and international counterparts to ensure good flow of ideas, best practices, and information.
- Be the public face of Google in both respective industries in Italy, leading market development opportunities and help drive major initiatives aimed at shifting online larger portion of advertising budgets
- Develop C-level relationships with major companies, agencies and any other relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to the local Leadership Team and in representing the business in the region.


Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BSc, in lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience;
- Solid online media experience, with a good understanding of search.


Preferred Qualifications:

- MBA;
- Strong sales and deal-closing behaviour with a network of contacts across the country. Specific industries and agency contacts a plus;
- Strong knowledge of Google products such as AdWords and AdSense with proven experience and track record in online marketing;
- Experience in managing a sales team with revenue targets and in a high revenue growth environment;
- Fluency in Italian and English.
