The role: Inventory Analyst, YouTube and Google Properties

As an Inventory Analyst, you will be the expert on Google's online ad inventory across all display properties. You will conduct both historical and forecast analysis, participate in pricing and revenue modeling and streamline overall performance reporting. Crucially, you will also be proactively identifying opportunities to increase the value of Google's display property online advertising inventory; delivering changes to specification, systems and processes in order to take advantage of these opportunities. Your data prowess and problem-solving abilities will help drive operational efficiencies and supply critical information to business partners. You will contribute to executive level dashboard reporting on key metrics of the business including volume, pricing and yield. This analysis will enable the team to maximize revenue and identify key performance opportunities.


- Analyse current and historical online ad delivery, ad traffic and site profile reports.
- Understand the relationship between advertising inventory monetization strategies and system implementation; pro-actively account for strategy & system developments.
- Forecast inventory availability, employing statistical analysis as needed;
- Develop and maintain dashboard reporting for volume, pricing, ad product composition and sell-through for business partners such as Sales Management, Product, Marketing, Sales Finance and Ad Operations.
- Investigate under-delivery issues affecting active campaigns.
- Develop and maintain dashboard on Ad Format/Placements performance report, by country.

Minimum Qualifications:

BA or BSc Degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

- BA/BSc with a focus on Operations Research, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative discipline.
- Professional relevant experience in an analytics role with inventory management or quantitative analysis.
- Ad server expertise: DFP or other ad server technologies plus proven quantitative ability and Excel spreadsheet modeling skills.
- Familiarity with or desire to learn SQL.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to draw insights from data. Strong communication and client-servicing skills.
- Fluent English essential and additional European languages.
