The role: Video Sales Specialist, YouTube

The primary role of Display Sales is to drive revenue by selling YouTube video solutions to top-tier brands and their media and creative agencies. You will manage getting (branding) budgets on YouTube by evangelizing YouTube as online video solution and branding platform and closing deals with advertisers. This role requires high level knowledge on branding, TV, online and branded content solutions. In close collaboration with the vertical teams you will evangelize online video and new YouTube and display branding products and technologies to clients and the agencies that serve them, identify sales and business-development opportunities, and develop and manage strong relationships with influencers and decision-makers. Your objectives for online video are to develop and close new display business, increase existing business to maximize revenue, provide first class service including proving research, market analysis and other critical information, and be responsive to all customer needs. You’ll be a first class collaborator who is able to build a productive online video revenue machine. You should also be the initiator and owner of projects for branded content and other display for branding initiatives. Reporting into the media solutions team directly you will be aligning with the vertical sales team on a regular basis and ensure a face to the customer approach. This is a high-adrenaline, client-facing sales role requiring deep branding (and ideally television) expertise, proven sales ability with a particular penchant for closing deals, and a broad base of industry contacts. You think strategically, anticipate how decisions are made and understand the details of the market needs and opportunities, and you will persistently explore and uncover the specific business needs of your key clients.


Responsibilities:
- Create and execute revenue strategies, account planning and business processes for key display accounts in Italy for online video.
- Work with the international YouTube and display team to deliver large European and Global campaigns.
- Develop strong knowledge of YouTube products, refining local YouTube value propositions and developing sales collateral and case studies with sales marketing.
- Manage coordination of YouTube and display sales efforts with senior Google sales leaders in Italy.
- Evangelize the YouTube online video vision and story throughout the industry with clients and agencies at events, conventions and seminars.


Requirements:

- University degree or equivalent with an excellent academic record.
- Strong online sales and business-development experience.
- Experience in TV sales with strong connections to TV strategists and buyers.
- Substantial experience in sales/marketing.
- Established relationships and presence within the media marketplace, (creative) agencies.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
