Dottorati in legge disponibili presso l' Università di Copenhagen e l' Università di Islanda

L'Università di Copenhagen, in cooperazione con l'Università di Islanda a Reykjavik, mette a disposizione una serie di Dottorati di ricerca in Giurisprudenza vacanti, a partire da Settembre 2012. Il PhD avrà durata di 3 anni dei quali due nella sede a Copenhagen e 1 in Islanda. Ai candidati è richiesta una conoscenza fluente dell'inglese e una laurea magistrale o specialistica in giurisprudenza (anche laureandi). Scadenza: 18 Maggio.

Partecipando al dottorato si portrà avere la possibiltà di partecipare a conferenze e meeting internazionali, insegnare presso le prestigiose Università e svolgere proprie ricerche. L'Università provvederà al rimborso finanziario, ma non alla ricerca di un alloggio.

Joint Vacant PhD Scholarships University of Copenhagen, Denmark
Scholarships:

The University of Copenhagen, Faculty of Law, and the University of Iceland, Faculty of Law, announce a number of joint vacant PhD scholarships available from September 2012. They have established a Joint PhD Programme in line with Danish and Icelandic requirements leading to a Joint PhD Degree.
Candidates will be employed by and are expected to conduct study at The University of Copenhagen for a 2 year period and by The University of Iceland for a 1 year period. This arrangement may change in any individual case by a joint agreement between the universities and the applicant.
Candidates will be enrolled as PhD students and employees at the Universities during the three year course of their tenure.
All research projects within the discipline of Legal Science will be considered, however, priority will be given to research projects in EU and international law. The research project must be conducted in English.

The Joint PhD Programme
The purpose of the Joint PhD Programme is to prepare candidates for a continuing career in legal research and teaching and to educate highly qualified individuals prepared to take on responsibilities in both the public and private sectors.
As a part of the Programme candidates will be required to conduct research at both Universities and become member of the tenured staff. The Joint Degree assures research qualifications at an international level and is approved by both Denmark and Iceland.

Qualifications
- Applicants must have an educational background that corresponds to the Danish or Icelandic Master´s Degree in Law (Second cycle 120 ECTS Master´s) or equivalent qualifications;
- Applicants who are expecting to graduate this term and awaiting the evaluation of their dissertation may apply;
- Applicants must as far as possible document an aptitude for scientific work, for instance through a high assessment of their dissertations and must also be able to undertake the highly demanding task of independently writing a PhD thesis;
- Applicants must be willing to live for a two year period in Denmark and for a one year period in Iceland.

During the Joint PhD Programme candidates are required to:
- Participate in the research environments at the University of Copenhagen and The University of Iceland;
- Take part in international conferences, courses and meetings;
- Complete the universities joint PhD study Programme
- some travelling including to international conferences, courses, and meetings should be expected;
- Teach at both universities
- typically bachelor or master courses;
- Undertake independent research (making of PhD thesis) under the supervision of researchers from both universities.

The universities provide you with financial support which makes it possible for you to participate in international conferences and to develop your analytical skills in two highly professional research environments. The universities will not provide the students with accommodation.
