Call for facilitator -Training course on youth policy making based on evidence and participatory principles
Background
The partnership between the European Commission and the Council of Europe in the field of youth, the German National Agency and the SALTO Training and Cooperation Resource Centre - both of the Youth in Action Programme - are aiming to develop and to implement a Training course on youth policy making based on evidence and participatory principles. Focussing on the implementation of the renewed EU youth strategy and the global 2020 youth strategy of the Council of Europe the need was identified to support key actors in the wider Europe with further information and training on youth policy topics. The target group of such a mid-term training course should be actors involved in the implementation of youth policy and youth work at regional, national and European level coming from organisations, institutions and respective public administrations and ministries.
The following topics shall be tackled during an initial preparatory meeting 2-4 July 2012: the political background and the reasons for such a training initiative, aims & objectives, concrete target group, content elements, methods, expected outcomes, material and sources of similar initiatives, evaluation criteria, documentation and valorisation of the outcomes.
The organisers are looking for a facilitator who is able to:
- support the organisers in developing the agenda for the preparatory meeting which will take place in Budapest from 02 to 04 July 2012;
- develop a synopsis of previous youth policy training courses that took place at European level
- actively participate in the mentioned preparatory meeting;
- draft the report of the preparatory meeting;
- develop a draft curriculum of a youth policy training course together with the organisers and the further key stakeholders after the preparatory meeting.
Conditions
The organisers calculate 14 working days for the expected support and will pay 250 €/day. Travel costs, food and lodging will be covered by the organisers.
The organisers expect the answers to the call till the 20th of May. Selection will be done till the 25th and next steps will follow immediately after.
