Project description
This hosting EVS project will take place in Iasi/Romania and its theme will be to raise awareness of the value and importance of volunteering as a form of active engagement and as a tool to develop or improve competences for personal, social and professional development of the young people.
The objective of the project is to organize a public campaign with 16 public debates for the promotion of volunteering as a form of active engagement in the community for young people from the North-East region of Romania.
The project will include a 8-month Service involving 4 EVS voluntaries, each from a different country (France, Poland, Turkey and Slovakia).
The main activities will be planning and organizing of public presentations, debates and workshops, project promotion, project evaluation activities, all undertaken as part of a team.
Methods: involvement of 4 EVS voluntaries in planning and organizing of activities (sharing ideas and information), inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities, using „world cafe” debating technique and experience exchanges between EVS voluntaries and young people from Romania, use of participatory approaches (e.g. frequent interaction between the project team, EVS voluntaries and participants at the debates), continuous project monitoring and periodic evaluations.
