Martin Schulz, President of the European Parliament, Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, Eleni Mavrou, Minister of the Interior, Republic of Cyprus, on behalf of the Presidency of the EU, and José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission will address the OPEN DAYS Opening Session on Monday 8 October. Danuta Hübner, Chair of the European Parliament's REGI Committee, Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for Regional Policy, and Ramón Luis Valcárcel Siso, President of the Committee of the Regions have also confirmed their participation in the OPEN DAYS kick-off.
