Job description
For more than 30 years IBM has been a major supplier to Australia’s leading Telecommunications Company. In the last 5 years this relationship has been enhanced by Global Process Services (GPS) Supply Chain Management (SCM) services provided to the company. IBM has recently won a new piece of “outsourced” business which will transform the way that they manage their Spare Part movements Nationally under the new Spare Parts Logistics Group – SPLG. This group will manage Call Centre Services, Warehouse and Transport services, Performance Management and provide an environment of innovation and continuous improvement aimed at achieving greater customer satisfaction. The newly won project is a leading edge solution which will require additional staff to be co-located with the client in Melbourne. IBM is contracted to supply this service until 2020.

The Reporting Analyst will Interpret data into business language

Specific responsibilities of the SAP Reporting Analyst include:
• Utilise understanding of the business processes to interpret application data into business ‘language’;
• SAP BI Reporting analysis;
• SAP ECC Reporting analysis;
• Identify and escalate trends and trouble spots;
• Drive / Provide input into root cause analysis and fix / improvement recommendations;
• Performance data reconciliation;
• Provide SPLG operational team analytics to support and identify problems and areas for improvement;
• Schedule reporting requirements.


Mandatory skills:
• Defining report requirements and writing technical specifications;
• Expertise in running reports in SAP Business Objects;
• Experience in Creating & Editing reports using SAP Bex Query Designer;
• Familiar with SAP ECC reporting;
• Proficiency in MS Excel including pivot table analysis;
• Broad thinker (think outside the square);
• Detailed analysis requirements;
• Problem solver;
• Well organised;
• Can perform trend analysis and call for resolution before problems multiply.

Preferred skills:
• Telecommunications industry knowledge;
• Good understanding of the Supply Chain dynamics and Industry;
• Spare Parts & Supply Chain Logistics skills;
• Established Client Relationship skills.

Required
• Technical Diploma;
• English: Fluent.

Preferred
• Bachelor's Degree.
