To build out our team in Milan, we are looking for a Strategic Account Development Manager.


• Own and be accountable for the acquisition and profitable growth of Strategic Merchants across a named portfolio.
• Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
• Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
• Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
• Coordinates the involvement of relevant internal collegues, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
• Own the contractual health of our relationship with the merchant including fundamental contract compliance, negotiation of rates within predefined corporate boundaries and securing of joint commercial targets / commitments.
• Perform operational due diligence on the merchant across the end to end sales flow to identify issues /risks and mitigate accordingly through effective partnering and collaboration with internal colleagues and subject matter experts.
• Document all communication with merchants in an accurate and timely manner in established CRM systems whilst ensuring key highlights are communicated and clearly understood by key internal stakeholders.
• Develop a deep understanding of the merchant portfolio from internal and external data / insights, constantly look for opportunities to drive incremental profitable growth and work closely with aligned internal resources to enable our merchants to optimise their business on the eBay platform.


Job Requirements

• Typically 8+ years commercial experience;
• Proven experience and a track record of exceptional Sales performance within a B2C or B2B environment (preferably retail or ecommerce);
•Track record of building effective multi tiered relationships with clients to drive exceptional advocacy and a joint focus on commercial outcomes;
• Outstanding contract negotiation skills to build long term client engagement / commitment and profit;
• Strong track record of over delivery against commercial targets;
• Proven ability to influence, challenge and secure commitment to execute against account plans;
• Proficiency in up selling and cross selling for the mutual benefit of eBay and the client;
• Rigorous management and use of client data to drive business results and sales outcomes;
• Ability to build long term, trusted and productive relationships at all levels both internally and externally;
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem solving skillsinfluencing & problem solving skills.


Education: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent.
