eBay ricerca: Senior Legal Counsel CEMEA PayPal.
Job Location: Milano, Milan, Italy.
The CEMEA team is part of the wider PayPal Europe and Global Legal team which in turn forms part of the global eBay Inc. legal function. You would be an important member of this global team and will have the opportunity to develop and advance your career within a group of legal experts spanning a wide range of practice areas and jurisdictions. On a regular basis, the role will require you to travel to other PayPal offices within the EU and to the US.
Your responsibility will comprise providing effective and business oriented legal advice and support to all PayPal business and functional units and country teams including Merchant Services, Financial Products, Strategy, Operations, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Core Payments, Mobile, Consumer protection and marketing related issues in CEMEA territories as required. Such legal advice and support will focus mainly on product, commercial and regulatory/compliance issues and will involve drafting, negotiation, , advisory and regulatory aspects usually in an on-line context.
As an integrated member of the PayPal and eBay global legal teams; you will work effectively with the Head of Legal CEMEA and other members of the EMEA team on legal and compliance issues and provide appropriate input to legal team initiatives and policy development.
Job Requirements
• Strong commercial contract drafting/negotiation experience preferably relating to e-commerce and/or financial services.
• Knowledge and appreciation of relevant payment and financial services legal issues.
• Exposure to relevant e-business projects and a high level appreciation of Internet related technology would be an advantage.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a fast paced, multi cultural environment and to work well and effectively under pressure, to be pro-active when appropriate and capable of building strong working relationships in a multi-cultural environment.
• Clear enthusiasm for PayPal’s and eBay mission and business objectives.
• Ability to apply the law to novel situations and to demonstrate the ability to find pragmatic and creative solutions to business issues where appropriate.
• Business standard fluency in at least 1 relevant language in addition to English is required.
Education: Masters Degree or Equivalent.
