To build out our team in Italy, we are looking for a Commercial Manager.

Support merchant growth through effective execution of marketing levers with Strategic Merchants.


• Support the account teams to build a planned approach to scaling the merchants through consumer focused trading activity which will come from both the Marketing and Business Unit function.
• Effectively matching merchant inventory to internal demand (Marketing, Promotions, and Buyer Experience) in order to win for eBay, Merchants & the Consumer.
• Support Account teams in building out key marketing and trading relationships with accounts to facilitate the execution of promotional programme.
• Work with Deals Commercial Managers to create high level promotional calendar for Strategic merchants that support delivery of commercial and strategic objectives.
• Utilise merchant insights when working with Business Units and Marketing functions to develop the promotional and marketing value proposition to drive merchant growth.
• Proactively share best practice across Sales team to drive adoption of growth levers.


Job Requirements

• Typically 5-8 years related experience.
• Proven experience in trade planning and/or promotions within a complex, large scale retail environment, ideally an online marketplace.
• Excellent understanding of the economics of marketing and promotions.
• Track record of delivering results on time and to budget.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity whilst maintaining a focus on execution and commercial outcomes.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadline.
• Good influencing and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrable market experience in a sales, marketing or consulting capacity, preferably in the online retail space.
• Proven track record operating across complex internal and external matrix organisations ensuring all points of influence and conflict are appropriately identified and actively managed.


Education: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent.
