As part of the Timberland's eCommerce team, the Category Site Manager is responsible for developing and planning the visual merchandising of assigned category(s) based on category knowledge, site analytics data, sales plan/forecast, and marketing plans which support the business objectives. Establish control-related standards and procedures.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Years of Related Professional Experience: 3-5.
• Bachelor's degree required. 3-5 years experience in Visual Merchandising or Marketing.

Skills:
• Must possess a strong attention to detail, ability to respond to last minute requests and adapt to changes in business trend.
• Need to be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, and work in a
fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills both orally and written.
• Basic computer skills including (but not limited to) Microsoft PowerPoint, Office, Excel.

Job Specific skills: Omniture (or equivalent), CMS, HTML.

Special Requirements: Domestic travel required: up to 10%.

Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for developing and planning the visual merchandising of his/her assigned category(s) based on category knowledge, site analytics data, sales plan/forecast, and marketing plans which support the business objectives.
2. Develop site programming to support seasonal campaigns and key item/category drivers.
3. Provide direction to creative team by submitting detailed work requests that guide the creative development process. Responsible to provide objective feedback throughout the creative process.
4. Monitor competitive websites to identify merchandising opportunities and best practices.
5. Work with Director, eCommerce on the development, launch and visual merchandising of the new Timberland tablet site..
6. Possess clear understanding and point of view on the entire shopping experience and develop action plan(s) to improve customer experience. He/she will also review site analytics reports to determine site updates.
7. Leverage available site and sales metrics to make appropriate adjustments to website (e.g. site taxonomy, features, etc).
8. Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, Planning to idenify key seasonal stories, key/new category and sales drivers
9. Foster and manage a shared vision for optimal site experience across Marketing, Merchandising, Planning and Creative.
10. Effectively teach, motivate, develop and inspire team.
