Description:
Are you interested in defining how millions of people around the world discover information? Do you care about bringing publishers the most engaging distribution platform for their content? Twitter is looking for an experienced and talented product manager to help us drive the vision and execution of Twitter’s content discovery products. You will leverage the largest real time data set, GEO signals and state of the art retrieval technology to enable the next generation content discovery experience. You will work with multiple teams in New York and San Francisco to define the capabilities that users around the world will use to stay up to date with the topics that matter to them.

Responsibilities:
• Understand Twitter's strategy and competitive position, and build a roadmap for the content discovery products which supports and extends Twitter's strategy;
• Understand the needs of consumers and prioritize enhancements and new feature ideas for content discovery;
• Leverage existing GEO assets and drive enhancements to existing framework to deliver a the most locally relevant content discovery experience;
• Write product briefs and specifications, and collaborate with engineering to build and ship high quality enhancements;
• Define appropriate distribution channels for content discovery including timeline, email, logged out experiences and mobile integrations;
• Be a driving force in assembling the resources necessary to ship high-impact products and features, and facilitate communication throughout the development process inside Twitter;
• Define methods for quantifying success (or failure) and ensure that the team has a clear ability to understand and articulate its objectives.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years product management experience with a strong focus on developing content discovery experiences at scale;
• Demonstrated experience working with and knowledge of news publishing ecosystem;
• Understanding information retrieval and personalization technologies;
• Understanding of “local” industry and GEO technologies;
• Experience and interest in designing simple and functional user interfaces;
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment;
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills;
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field is ideal.
