Department Information
• Grown out of the Tommy Hilfiger (TH) wholesale business, Retail Europe has experienced rapid growth to over 500 stores across greater Europe in a period of 12 years;
• International anchor (flagship) stores, full price stores, and outlet stores;
• Amsterdam head-office based dedicated retail team covering Property Development, Buying and Planning, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations;
• Shared services for Marketing, IT, Finance, HR, Supply Chain Operations (also Amsterdam based);
• Local ‘In-country’ teams for merchandising and operations.

Position Description
The intern will join the Visual Merchandise and Windows team within the Retail Department, and will have a special focus in VM Outlets. This is what the intern may expect to learn during the duration of the program: - How seasonal Visual Merchandising guidelines and in-season communcation are concepted, created and delivered.
• How to Visual Merchandise a Tommy Hilfiger store;
• merchandising, rigging and store development;
• How VM, R&D and Windows work together and also with other departments within Retail.
The main responsabilties of the intern is to work with the VM team on various seasonal projects from concept thru to creation and implementation. He/she will work in partnership with the VM team on workshops and guidelines - assist with team projects where needed.

Position Requirements
• Must be studying, MBO or HBO/Bachelor level;
• Strong communication skills;
• Fluent in English, spoken and written;
• Basic knowledge of Office;
• Previous Retail experience is a plus;
• Available from Summer 2013, preferably for a 6 month period.
