Reporting to the Applications Manager, this position will oversee and supervise the activities of assigned resources, analyze, plan, manage, shape priorities, coordinate interactions with internal clients, and keep retail system project focused through the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of efficient, cost effective application development solutions for QVC Italia.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
• Provide effective leadership in understanding business requirements and be able to translate them into functional and technical requirements;
• Maintain a positive relationship with internal customers. Identifies the needs of existing and potential internal customers and ensures that appropriate services are developed to meet those needs;
• Capable to understand, anticipate and influence internal customer demand for services. Ensure that the service provider has sufficient capacity to meet the required demand;
• Able to identify the components of a complex process problem or inefficiency by breaking down the data and/or concepts into understandable segments to look at root causes and determine resolvable solutions;
• Assess major Changes, like the introduction of a new service or a substantial change to an existing service, before those Changes are allowed to proceed to the next phase in their lifecycle;
• Gather, analyze, store and share knowledge and information within an organization. Improve efficiency by reducing the need to rediscover knowledge;
• Demonstrate a conceptual understanding of the design and development phases of project life cycle for systems development to be able to oversee these stages so that the business gains the maximum benefit from the systems implemented;
• Coordinate activities related to projects and produce high level plans for design and development stages of the project life cycle so that the projects run efficiently and effectively and systems are delivered that meet the business systems requirements;
• Coordinate final delivery of all assigned projects and ensures client satisfaction and stakeholder expectations and timelines are met;
• Manage structured walkthroughs of the proposed systems with the business users to enable the objectives and the critical success factors for the project to be clearly defined, ensuring the sign off of the proposal from the users;
• Supervise and review functional specification and technical design documents produced by the assigned resources from a business perspective. Oversees development of system training guides, user training manuals, and other training materials and system documentation;
• Manage post implementation reviews, documenting all the objectives and critical success factors met together with and an approach to addressing any that have not. Continually evaluate the systems and make recommendations for enhancements aimed at further improving the teams’ ability to service customers and improve efficiency;
• Provide ongoing advice and guidance to all groups involved throughout the project life cycle of systems development;
• Develop and document project parameters including scope, schedule, budgets, and specifications; create, update and monitor project plans for project;
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of internal processes to allow for smooth execution of projects;
• Maintain project documentation, including project initiation requests, status reporting about his own activities and activities of managed resources, dashboards, and project plans.

Required skills and experience
• 3,5 years of previous working experience in retail business with Enterprise scale systems, including logistics and Order Fulfillment, in a project management role;
• 3,5 years of working experience in Business Relationship Management, Change Management, Service Validation and Testing, Demand Management, Change Evaluation, Knowledge Management;
• Familiar Testing Process (Strategy Definition, Design, Planning, Scheduling, Reporting, Resources, Risk Management, Measuring and improving the test process);
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills, organizational skills with specific attention to detail, time management skills, and supervisory skills. Ability to read technical information, identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions;
• Capable to prioritize workload and meet deadlines, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, interact with company personnel at all levels, build good relationships with key business contacts;
• System Design and Fault Analysis;
• Proficient in English.

• One Programming / Scripting Language.
