NEXT ALUMNI MEDLEY IN CRACOW!

The Spring Alumni Medley 2013 will be host in Cracow, the cultural capital of Poland and popular destination for thousands of tourists and Erasmus students every year!
The meeting will be held on 14-16 June and it will last from Friday afternoon to Sunday Morning in order to be accessible for the majority of Alumni which today are finally and luckily not students anymore!

The program is mainly cultural and recreational: it will start on Friday with a city tour of the beautiful Cracow while the friendly OC is welcoming and taking care of all participants (even the latest ones!), after dinner, the “activity” for the night is the famous tram party, a wonderful way to sightsee the city and party at the same time! On Saturday, there will be some more sightseeing in the morning and, after lunch, we’ll have some hours to discuss about our Alumni network and all related issues. The day will end with a very special Polish traditional dinner during which we will not only try the typical dishes but also the typical (drinking) habits of Polish people!!! Fun is guaranteed! On Sunday, after breakfast, the meeting ends but the OC will be happy to organize visits to Auschwitz or Wieliczka salt mine for those who will have booked it in advance.

This meeting will be the opportunity to brainstorm about some ideas (membership system and regulation, structure, etc) - however no formally binding decisions will be taken during this Alumni Medley.

OPEN CALL FOR...

• Circles of Interest coordinators

One of the aims of the ESN Alumni network is to provide its members networking opportunities in their fields of interest, hence the first Circles of Interest will be implemented for Sumer 2013. These first circles are opened in the following fields:

• International Education: All Alumni network members active in the field of Education can join this circle in order to exchange information on conferences, European policies, project calls, job openings, etc.
• Road trips and festivals: Alumni network members who are interested in sharing road trip and festival opportunities can join this circle in order to set up road trips, contact other Alumni network members willing to show them around in their cities and sharing Festival programms that are taking place all over Europe.
• IT job opportunities: There are many job opportunities in the IT sector, it is however difficult to find the best matching job opportunities, IT professionals can join this Circle of Interest in order to share job opportunities.

We are looking for one coordinator in each Circle of Interest responsible for setting up a LinkedIn sub-group, managing the membership and moderating the discussions. Inform us about your willingness to take such a position by writing us at [email protected] by the 30 June 2013. If you have other ideas of Circle of Interests, you may submit them by writing as well to [email protected].

• City Alumni Ambassadors

Many ESN Alumni are moving abroad for their career and find themselves confronted to similar issues as exchange students, we are therefore launching on an informal basis local Alumni hubs - represented by the City Alumni Ambassador (eg. Brussels Aluùni Ambassador). These Alumni Ambassadors would get in touch with new people moving to their city, organising regular drinks and helping eachother out whenever needed! To become Alumni Ambassador get in touch with your NAC!
