We are currently looking for a Press Officer to join our Corporate Communication department at the Company’s headquarter in Genoa – Italy.
Job Purpose
To plan and implement the Press Office activities for the promotion of the Costa Product.
Key Accountabilities
• Identifying and implementing the media relations plan to promote the Costa Product and its discriminators in coordination with Corporate Marketing department and Marketing Italy, in order to reach marketing & communication objectives and deliver proper product key messages;
• Identifying and implementing a digital media relations strategy to promote the product and manage the relevant digital tools in coordination with Corporate Web Marketing dept;
• Preparing all product information materials to be provided to media and used by international Costa press officers network;
• Identifying news angle to promote the Costa Product;
• Keeping fruitful relationships with all relevant journalists (off/on-line, Italian and foreign correspondents);
• Organizing and managing press conferences/events and Media fam trip;
• Spotting product visibility opportunities on the media;
• VIPs seeding activity;
• Press review analysis and results measurement following KPIs set;
• Coordination of external PR agency.
Requirements
• Degree in communication studies/journalism;
• At least 8/10 years experience in media relations activity (consumer product, lifestyle, tourism & leisure) developed in international companies or PR agencies;
• Strategic thinking e problem solving attitude, combined with structured working methodology;
• Excellent copywriting;
• Excellent knowledge of the actual media landscape (off/on-line);
• Excellent ability to build relationships with Italian media and international correspondents; digital press office experience;
• Italian mother tongue and very good knowledge of English (any second language will be considered a plus).
