Amazon, the world’s leader in e-commerce, is expanding its Italian B2B business looking for a smart and ambitious Merchant Services Manager (m / f) based in Milan (Italy).
The person in this role will lead a team of 5-7 New Account Managers recruiting and launching online retailers on Amazon's marketplace and helping them expand and grow their businesses by partnering with Amazon. The Merchant Services Manager is responsible to deliver new business growth across selected categories of products. Operating in a fast-moving and often ambiguous environment, you will have full responsibility of your team performance and for achieving business objectives.
As part of your role, you will need to analyse sales and traffic data to identify opportunities to help existing sellers succeed on the marketplace and provide competitive knowledge towards the generation of leads to recruit new sellers, both national and international. Likewise, you will work with a wide range of internal stakeholders in Italy and other countries to support the consolidation of services such as Sell on Amazon as well as the introduction of services such as Fulfillment by Amazon. You will need to take the lead in strategic projects that will drive business development and shape the future of Amazon Merchant Services.
Role Objectives:
• Develop and motivate a high-performing team of 5-7 New Account Managers.
• Achieve objectives and lead the growth of Amazon’s third-party business in selected categories.
• Drive business analyses, develop recommendations and implement projects and initiatives.
• Deliver ongoing operational improvements.
• Interact with and influence senior Amazon leaders.
Basic Qualifications
• 5-7 years of working experience in management consulting, product management or sales management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Engineering is required. Post-graduate education is recommended.
• Highly organised and results oriented.
• Strong analytical skills (including advanced excel and database analysis).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (in both Italian and English).
• Track record in people management skills.
