Job Purpose

Assist the accounts receivable/credit function in timely and accurate handling of customer account activity. Verify and post account receivable transactions. Assist in establishing and maintaining appropriate controls and policies as related to cash receipts and deduction resolution.


Key Accountabilities

1. Post cash received from customers and credits received from sales on a daily basis.
2. Collect accounts receivable through active telephone collection procedures and timely and effective follow-up.
3. Serve as liaison with Sales and broker organization to research and clear customer deductions.
4. Research customer payment information, adjusting accounts receivable as needed to accurately reflect each account payment and deduction status.
5. Provide assistance to Sales and external broker organization for new account set-up and resolution of open issues with customer cash applications.
6. Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess the following:
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable/Credit Collection.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Deduction Management, preferably in consumer products.
• 3-5 years’ experience in Cash Application.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain attention to detail.
• Strong capability to work in teams and build good working relationships.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook) and SAP
