The Position


We are seeking a Training and GxP Specialist to work with the UK Training and Medical Standards Leader on a fixed term contract 18/24 months to review, align and implement the program of training and compliance standards across the Medical Directorate.

This role provides the opportunity to apply your current pharmaceutical compliance experience to a variety of Medical disciplines within the fast-paced environment of a pharma affiliate. The individual will engage multidisciplinary stakeholders across Medical Affairs, Medical Communications, Regulatory and Drug Safety to support the planning and delivery of tailored training solutions, thereby meeting our GxP obligations and providing the best outcomes for patients. Reporting to the Head of Medical Excellence, this is an affiliate role based in Welwyn with potential for limited international travel.

You will deliver effective processes and training including updates to the Medical Directorate induction program and the creation of new training materials. You will support the maintenance and refinement of the SOP training grid for the Medical Directorate roles, tracking training compliance metrics from the Roche training tool (CHRIS LSO) as part of continuous improvement.

You will audit medical processes and support the detection of (non-ABPI Code) compliance risks, prioritizing focus areas, and proposing mitigation solutions, and implement improvements for simplicity, efficiency and compliance.

To be considered for this role, you will have a degree in life sciences, biology, medicine or other healthcare discipline. You will have broad pharmaceutical experience, preferably in a medical affairs or clinical operations function at a local, regional or global level.

Knowledgeable in the pharmaceutical compliance environment, you will have an understanding of Good Clinical and Pharmacovigilance Practices (GxP). Awareness of the ABPI Code of Practice; experience in Quality Risk Management/Quality Control; and in document control and management would be an advantage. With demonstrable success in designing and delivering engaging training programs, you are able to translate regulatory requirements and stakeholder needs to resolve complex issues in a matrix organisation,

Fluency in written and verbal English language, excellent presentation skills and strong computer literacy in Word, PowerPoint and Excel are also a requirement.
