The job
Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Material Planner is responsible for material planning, managing market escalation orders and response timely within service level.
Job Responsibilities
• Performing weekly and monthly follow up of forecasting and analysis for material planning.
• Ensure replenishment, maintaining regular contacts with market companies and suppliers to balance flow of material.
• Communicate shortages and expedite requirements to managers and customer service as necessary.
• Work with suppliers to ensure sufficient materials to support production.
• Analyze deviation to reduce aging stocks or stock out and take appropriate action.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects or duties assigned as part of cross functional exposure to drive continuous improvement methodology.
Qualifications
• Diploma / degree holder with minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Prior material or production planning within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Proficiency in SAP, Business Warehouse and MS Office.
• Good communication and presentation skills to collaborate with internal and external parties.
• Detail-oriented, analytical with positive mindset.
• Self motivated and able to work in a fast and dynamic environment.
