Labour Law Specialist
Department: Legal
Reports to: Senior Legal Counsel


The job holder is responsible for:
1) The effective and efficient management of labour law litigations;
2) The provision of advices on a wide range of labour law topics;
3) The revision and constant update of all employees contracts and employment contract templates to be used for company's employees;
3) The provision of constant updates on labour law developments, analyzing relevant impacts on the company and suggesting proactive and timely implementation of opportunities to ensure their application to company employment agreements as well as the possibility to benefit opportunities in the strategic management of labour cost and contractual risks.
4) Provision of support in case of extraordinary deals and processes (es. M&A, Outsourcing, Restructuring processes), in addressing issues related to labour law.

Key responsibilities unique elements of the layer
Review progress of litigation and liaise with external lawyers providing support in the definition of the legal defensive strategy. Support and coordination of HR managers in their activity of collection and preparation of information, documents and evidences necessary to prepare the defensive briefs, making sure that company's outside legal counsels are fully and timely provided with requested information and documents.
Review ongoing labour law cases and advice management accordingly.
Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management on employment contracts and labour law topics.

• Develop, implement and review processes, policies and procedures for the effective and efficient management of labour litigation cases.
• Assist in the day to day management of labour law litigation and out of court claims in accordance with Policy and Procedure.
• Assure proper Governance on company procedures.
• Proactive involve HR when the legal case may lead to the employee reinstatement due to its negative outcome for the company.

• Assigned budget ownership and control.
• Ensure constant alignment with Finance on assigned budget management.
• SLA respect.

• Provide advices and interpret labour law provisions, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements.

• Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.

• Manage sensitive information and support relationship with different internal and external stakeholders.
• Improve relationship with internal stakeholders.


Growth & Innovation
• Benchmarking and exploitation of opportunities.
• Promotion of new approaches and advisory services.


Corporate social responsibility
• Support Health & Safety department in the Implementation of Health, Safety & Envirnment processes, standards and regulations.


Additional Requirements
• Excellent English knowledge.
• Degree in Legal.
• 5 - 7 years previous experience as qualified lawyer specialized in labour law in a first class Law Firm.
• Master in Labour Regulation.
