Call for Trainers for mentors and responsibles for EVS projects in the MEDA

Salto EuroMed is looking for: 2 trainers from Morocco; 2 from Tunisia; 2 from Israel; 2 from Jordan; 2 from Egypt; 2 from Palestine; 2 from Lebanon: 2 from Algeria

Description

Salto Youth EuroMed in behalf of the network of NAs belonging to the Working Group is looking for 16 trainers able to deliver training course to future mentors and responsible of EVS volunteers and projects.

The idea is to create a Pool for Trainers that will be able to meet in Amman in April 2014 for discuss and create a new EVS training cycle for the NGOs that will be accredited in 2014/2015.

The Pool will be composed by 4/6 trainers from programme countries (based on selection of the NAs) and 16 trainers from Meda countries.

In the 2014 we will forseen to realise 4 Mentors TC (1 in Tunisia, 1 in Jordan, 1 in Israel and 1 in Egypt). In 2015 we will forseen to realise 4 mentors TC in the other countries: Palestine, Morocco, Algeria and Lebanon.

In 2015 we will start also the On Arrival TC and Mid Term Evaluation TC.

This pool will be involved in all these activities taking in account the different countries, language etc.

Each training will be lead by a team of 2 EU and 2 Meda Trainers.

Detailed will be discussed in Amman meeting.


Requested trainer profile

TRAINERS' PROFILE

Candidates shall:
• have knowledge about EVS within Youth in Action (now Erasmus+) and EuroMed Youth IV Programme, Salto Youth, RCBS;
• be experienced in cooperation between Programme and South Mediterranean countries;
• special attention will be paid to the understanding of the concept of non-formal education;
• have ability to give a theoretical input as well as arrange practical learning sessions in such fields as EVS mentoring, rights and responsabilities in the programe, coaching and supporting volunteers' learning;
• additionally we will value experiences in International Youth Work, Group Dynamics & Motivation, Intercultural Learning, Non-formal Education;
• have very good level of both spoken and written English language or In French language;
• be familiar with educational approaches relevant in the Non-Formal learning / International Youth Work sector;
• be able to draw for their work as a trainer from a variety of formal, informal and non-formal learning experiences;
• have knowledge about the technical procedure for apply in Erasmus + EVS projects.


Working conditions

The candidates should be able to attend to the meeting in Amman from 7 to 12 April 2014 in which will be drawn the training cycle and should be able to contribute to the development of the training course for mentors having the following objectives:

• To develop mentor’s competences needed to provide learning support to EVS volunteers;
• To deepen understating of the key competences and Youthpass process;
• To identify potentials and dangers in EVS mentoring process;
• To share possible tools and methods for EVS mentoring;
• To establish contacts between EVS mentors, so they can support each other in the future if needed;
• To inspire participants to share the acquirements from the training with other mentors back in their home countries, in particular to develop action plans for multiplying the EVS mentorship concept during a month after the training;
• Prepare the training cycle for OAT and MTE starting in 2015.


TASKS / DUTIES OF TRAINERS SELECTED

The tasks of the Trainers Team include the following:
• to be prepared before and actively attend the preparatory meeting;
• theoretical and practical preparation of the participants prior they arrival to the trainings;
• to implement the training for about 20 participants (creative implementation of the objectives set by organizers. This can include building strong relations in the group and laboratory setting for practicing mentoring in safe conditions);
• to evaluate the training;
• to prepare the training's report;
• writing up electronically all new methods and tools used during the training onto the Toolbox.


FINANCIAL CONDITIONS

Taking into consideration the nature of the training course each trainer will be paid a fixed rate of 800 euro for the participation of meeting in Amman and 1 training course for mentors.

In addition, travel, board and lodging, (if needed also visa costs) of the Trainers will be covered both for the prep-meeting and event itself. The amount will be paid upon compilation of the work.
