Description

The Training Course “The Change Makers: Youth generating inclusive growth – Social entrepreneurship through Non-Formal Education” is aimed to contribute to the development of capabilities of CSOs in the youth field through gathering knowledge in social entrepreneurship area and through development of competencies essential for initiation of social entrepreneurship activities by non-governmental non-profit organizations.

The aim is to gain competences in the fields of social entrepreneurship, further to develop strategies in fostering creative, independent, non-traditional ways of thinking and acting in business and employment prospects for youth, striving to shape a global, entrepreneurial, competitive citizen sector.

The activities are based on principles & practice of non-formal learning and include various activities and exercises, simulations, which are creating situations for deeper personal reflection, followed by debriefing, work in small mixed groups, individual work, inputs, presentations & discussion of results, free time activities & intercultural activities. The intercultural challenge that implies in here will contribute in many ways to the individual learning process of each participant. The TC offers a platform where all participants will learn in an atmosphere of mutual understanding exchanging their knowledge and experiences in the field of international youth work.

The Training Course will take place from May 23rd until May 31st in the European Youth Education and Meeting Centre in Weimar (EJBW), Germany. It will involve two trainers and will involve 30 participants (youth workers, leaders, facilitators, coaches, trainers) from Germany, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Turkey and Hungary.


Requested trainer profile

• Good knowledge and positive experience with the Youth in Action programme;
• Ability to introduce, explain and facilitate individual and group learning in the areas of entrepreneurship and non-formal education;
• Distinctive skills in working with diverse groups and in understanding group dynamics;
• Preferably based in Denmark, Germany or France.


Working conditions

• The trainer will receive a trainer fee of 140 EUR/day including one preparatory day (free lancing).
• Travel, food and accommodation are covered to 100 % for the full length of the TC.
• Technical equipment and other material needed will be provided at the venue.


Team composition

The TC will be carried out by two trainers in consultation with the organizers who will be represented during the TC by 3 people.

• CV: a short summary of your life so far is sufficient, but it should include contact details

• Motivation letter: A brief text - no more than 400 words - about what you think you can give to participants or what you believe your role in TC can be. Please include some thoughts on the topic of "learning, how do people learn best“.

We will take care of all applications until March 8th and ask selected applicants to prepare a core methodological summary (instructions will be given to the selected candidates).

We will make a final decision until March 20th.
