Co-organizers: Ceská národní agentura - Mládež (National Agency of YiA, Czech Republic); Fundacja Rozwoju Systemu Edukacji (National Agency of YiA, Poland); IUVENTA - Slovenský inštitút mládeže (National Agency of YiA, Slovak Republic)
Date: between 20-25th May 2014 (including travel days)
Venue: European Youth Centre Budapest, Hungary
Participants: 20 participants + team

BACKGROUND:

Historically, the Visegrad countries have always been facing similar challenges. Today we share mutual concerns in the fields of youth issues and youth participation as well. The aim of this seminar is to share best practices within the V4 countries, focusing on self-organized and institution-led ways too. Participants will search for common answers and solutions with the help of recalling some national initiatives from the Youth In Action Programme (2007-2013) as good practices to inspire/promote the development of future transnational youth initiatives in the frame of the Erasmus+ Programme.

Furthermore, Visegrad Fund will be presented as a source of support as well.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

The objectives of this activity are:

• to share the latest research outcomes concerning to V4 youth;
• to create a platform to analyze the differences and similarities of the reasearch results;
• to identify challenges V4 youth facing;
• to offer a networking opportunity between the participants and their sending organizations;
• to provide opportunities and space for participants to share good practices;
• to share new and innovative approaches, concepts and activities;
• to offer an introduction to the Erasmus+ Programme and its opportunities.

TARGET GROUP:

youth workers, youth leaders, activists, multipliers, project coordinators, representatives of local authorities from V4 countries

WORKING METHODS:

The study session will be mostly based on non-formal education methods, encouraging active participation of young people involved, giving space for participants to take an active role, express themselves and share good practices.

WORKING LANGUAGE:

The working language of the project will be English.

Requested trainer profile

PROFILE OF THE FACILITATORS:

• have knowledge and experience in international projects working with non-formal methods;
• have knowledge and experience within Youth in Action;
• have experience on the topic of active and democratic youth participation;
• have knowledge about V4 youth issues;
• citizens of any V4 countries;
•are proficient users of English language.

Working conditions

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FACILITATORS:

• to facilitate a preparatory meeting (26/27th March 2014);
• to keep contact with other team members till the end of the project in order to develop the programme;
• to develop the daily programme and finalize the call for the participants together with the team
• to facilitate the implementation, work on the evaluation in cooperation with the team
• to create a final report of the project;

FACILITATOR FEES:

280€/day/person for 8 working days (1 day for preparation, 1 day preparatory meeting, 4 days implementation, 2 days evaluation/final report)

In order to apply, candidates must submit a CV with a motivation letter and a draft programme outline with methodology.
