Work Context
Intervita Onlus is an Italian, non-confessional, non-political, independent Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) cooperating for development. It collaborates with local partners in thirteen countries of the World, in order to improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations and to fight against poverty and inequality. The projects of Intervita are multidimensional. They are focused onto education, health, food security, economic development, gender parity, child rights and environment. All of the activities have the fundamental component of the community participation, through which Intervita and its NGO partners aim to achieve a long term and sustainable development. Education and health are the priorities, therefore the projects are based on the Long Distance Sponsorship Programme (LDSP), which is implemented in primary schools for students of 4 to 8 years of age.
Intervita works in Cambodia in collaboration with local and International partners since 2008 in projects on children protection and education. At the moment Intervita collaborate with 9 partners implementing 7 projects in different area of Cambodia for a total average budget of 1 million Euro/year. Intervita does not implement any project but co-finance, coordinate, monitor and support the partners in the implementation of the project.

Main responsabilities
1.

• Manage, under the Country Representative supervision and orientation, the IV Cambodia Program and M&E Department.
• Revise and approve, in coordination with the IV Country Administrator, the project’s Quarterly Report.
• Planning and execute project’s monitoring and evaluation with frequent field visit.
• Update and maintains IV M&E Tools and manage the database of project’s monitoring.
• Plan, manage and assign the tasks and the activities of IV Program Department Human Resources.
• Provide Monthly Reports on Project’s update.
• Assist the partners on the PCM, including support in the preparation of the Quarterly Activity Plan, Quarterly Report and Monitoring and Evaluation Tools.
• Assists the partner on the knowledge management of the projects, including organization of workshops and other events between partners working with the same targets and fields of action.

• Support the Country Representative.
• To define IV Cambodia Mid and Long Term Strategy.
• To maintain and develop relation with the main development stakeholders, including participating on meetings with NGO Networks, line Ministries, the National Committee on Child Rights and the National Comitee on Antitrafficking and Violence against Woman and Children, main Donor and Cooperation Agency.
• To coordinate with the Long Distance Sponsorship Program Department on all the issues related with partner project’s education and child rights issues, including the maintenance of SAD Database on drop out, migration and other typologies affecting children rights on education.

Qualification and experience
• University Degree or Master in Social Sciences (e.g. Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Development Studies, Human Rights).
• At least 5 years overseas experience of project management in International development projects.
• Civil Society Capacity building and Children Right’s oriented project’s.
• Proved experience in designing projects to be submitted to the main donor agencies (UE, UN agencies).
• Experience in the management of the project funded by main donors (es. UE and UN).
• Previous experience in civil society capacity building, and large and complex project’s monitoring and evaluation.
• Capable of working in team and supporting the partners in all phases of the Project Cycle Management.
• Willing to work on close support to the partners central and field branches, with frequent and extended field visit missions.
• Experience in development project in Cambodia will be considered a plus ranking factor.
• Experience in human resource management.
• Italian Mother togue, Fluency in English (the selection process will be done in the two languages).
• Proficiency in MS Office applications especially excel.

• Very flexible, patient and with a positive attitude;
• Dynamic and willing to take initiative to complete tasks assigned;
• Problem solving skills.
