Title: Administrative Job Trainee – 60% (11 months)
Description:
Located in Rome, Italy at Bioversity Headquarter, under the supervision of the Programme Assistant and the Head of Policy Unit, the incumbent will perform a variety of administrative tasks for the Policy Unit.
Job Description:
More specifically, the incumbent will:
• Assist with the scheduling of activities within the group; making arrangements for and receiving visitors;
• Assist with standard administrative activities, such as: typing documentation; collating documents for meetings; filing documents; preparing and updating mailing lists; carrying out data entry;
• Prepare administrative and expense documentation;
• Assist with travel arrangements and logistical arrangements for meetings, seminars, conferences and teleconferences;
• Respond to routine enquiries;
• Performs any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification & Experience:
Secondary school education. No previous work experience required.
Skills & abilities:
Working knowledge of relevant software packages (Excel, Access, Word). Working knowledge of English language, both written and spoken. Knowledge of French, Spanish or Italian language, desired.
Personal Qualities:
Good interpersonal, communications and teamwork skills; courtesy & tact and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of other cultural and national backgrounds. Good skills in personal organization and priority setting. Good client orientation and service approach. Good judgment and initiative.
Terms & Conditions:
This is a job traineeship and the monthly salary at 60% is Euro 605.10. The contract will be for a period of eleven months
