Description
SALTO Inclusion developed a number of publications over the last years within the Youth in Action programme (see www.salto-youth.net/inclusionforall/). With the arrival of the new Erasmus+ programme, we want to extract the most relevant elements from our previous booklets and merge them into a new comprehensive but practical publication: “Inclusion from A to Z”.
Therefore SALTO Inclusion is looking for a writer/editor to analyse the previous booklets and merge the relevant content into one new publication, reworking them into one coherent style.
The focus will be on setting up international learning mobility projects for a variety of inclusion groups in the youth sector. The publication should be coherent with the ongoing work on inclusion and diversity within Youth in Action – Erasmus+.
Requested trainer profile
We are looking for
• an experienced writer/editor
• who knows the inclusion & youth field
• having good analytical skills
• with experience in writing educational publications (preferably in English)
• and good command of English
Working conditions
The assignment includes (tentative)
• editorial meetings with the SALTO Inclusion team (via Skype or physical- depending)
• participation in the round table on Inclusion & Diversity (12 September 2014, London) = 1 day meeting
• analyzing and extracting the relevant parts from the previous SALTO Inclusion publications,
• proposing a structure for the new publication
• writing the new booklet, reworking the style, creating one coherent text
• revise possible ‘Further reading’ lists, references, cross-links, select illustrations,…
• the final text should be ready by the beginning of October 2014.
For this task the trainer/author will receive a lump sum of 2800 € all in (covering the meetings, preparation, communication, rewriting, VAT). The travel and subsistence for the meeting in London will be covered separately by SALTO.
Team composition
The writer/editor will liaise with the SALTO Inclusion team to come to a practical comprehensive publication.
