Call for international trainer duo for the "Launching Inclusion & Diversity Strategy Event” and “Inclusion & Diversity Intro Training Course for NA Staff”

SALTO Inclusion & SALTO Cultural Diversity have updated the Inclusion Strategy for Youth in Action and we are looking for a trainer duo for the Launching Event of the strategy. We want to use this opportunity to invite some of NA colleagues to learn more on inclusion and diversity. Therefore, the same trainers of the launching event are requested to prepare and run an Intro Training on Inclusion & Diversity for staff of E+ National Agencies responsible for Youth in Action.
A bit of background information:
With the arrival of the new Erasmus+ programme, we needed to rework and update the Inclusion Strategy for the Youth in Action programme (www.salto-youth.net/inclusionStrategy/) to the new reality. This was a great opportunity to make inclusion & diversity projects easier and more effective.
For European Commission and SALTO to understand what is needed on the ground, experts from the field (inclusion & diversity workers, National Agencies, researchers) have been consulted to come to an updated “Inclusion & Diversity Strategy for Youth in Action within Erasmus+. This was done through several activities: 2 round tables & 1 meeting for Inclusion & Diversity officers of E+ National Agencies for Youth in Action.
Inclusion & Diversity Strategy Launching Event, 3 December 2014, Brussels
Aim of this event is to launch and present the new I&D Strategy for Youth in Action within Erasmus+ programme.
Target group: It will bring together 50 different inclusion & diversity stakeholders and the network of E+ National Youth in Action Agencies, for a day and will be hosted by the European Commission in Brussels.
Important programme elements:
• Linking the Strategy with the European policy framework
• Presenting the Strategy
• Sharing and showcasing I&D good practices projects
• Getting inspired by the local project visits
Intro Training on Inclusion & Diversity for E+ National Agencies Youth in Action Staff, 4 – 5 December, 2014, Mechelen, Belgium-Fl
Introduction for 20 novice staff in the field of inclusion & diversity. Ideally they first follow the Inclusion & Diversity Strategy launching event and stay on to learn more about diversity & inclusion, programme possibilities, supportive approach,…
Aims and objectives:
• To raise awareness/motivate non inclusion or diversity officers to work on this topic
• To gain basic knowledge of I&D concepts
• Reflect on and learn how to cooperate/support their inclusion/diversity colleagues
• To share and discuss different national/NA realities
• To create individual action plans
Target group:
Min 15 – max 20 E+ National Agencies Youth in Action Staff (not the inclusion or diversity officers, unless they are beginners), who wants to gain knowledge & expertise on inclusion and diversity in the YiA.
Requested trainer profile
We are looking for trainers duo with:
• Good English skills
• Experience with trainings and facilitation of international events, group discussions, providing space and dynamic methods for participants to share their practices…
• Experience & knowledge of the topic: inclusion & diversity
• Availability for the prep-meeting and events.
Working conditions
• 3 full working days: 3-5 December 2014 (arrival on 2nd, departure on 6th) – Brussels & Mechelen, Belgium
• One prep meeting: 10 (arrival by noon) – 11 September 2014, 1,5 working days, London, UK.
• Trainers are warmly invited to attend the Round Table expert meeting on I & D Strategy, 12 September 2014, London, UK (the meeting ends at 17h, arrang your travel accordingly)
• Working language English
Trainers fees
SALTO Inclusion uses the SALTO trainer fee system (www.salto-youth.net/trainerfees/). We calculate 3 working days at 280€ per day, plus a lump sum of 840€ covering all preparation, communication and follow-up. In total: 1680€ all in per trainer (VAT included).
SALTO Inclusion (Jint vzw) & SALTO Cultural Diversity will cover the facilitator’s travel & subsistence costs for the prep meeting & and both events.
Team composition
Cooperation between: SALTO Inclusion/NA Belgium-Flanders & SALTO Cultural Diversity with support of the European Commission and the network of E+ National Agencies for Youth in Action.
