“Bridges for Trainers” is a new 2-yearly conference filled with debates and exchanges about trends in the youth field and their effects on the work of trainers who train youth workers and -leaders. Bridges for Trainers 2014 will take place from 8-10 December 2014 in Bonn, Germany.

And you are invited!

• Bridges for Trainers 2014 will focus on the “Set of competences for trainers working at international level” and a set of related criteria and indicators to be able to use this framework individually, within teams of trainers and for assessment, recruitment and development.
• The conference will also offer space to reflect on changes that have an impact on competence frameworks and competence development measures for youth workers and trainers.
• And Bridges for Trainers will also explore next steps within Erasmus+ Youth in Action regarding competence frameworks & developments

Who will be there?

About 150 people will come and exchange experiences and discuss training issues. Feel free to apply if you are one of the following:

an experienced trainer running courses for youth workers and -leaders (on national or international level) – Attention: no trainers training only young people!
a training provider (organisations/institutions) who has a strategy to train its trainers,
Erasmus+ Youth in Action National Agencies and SALTO staff cooperating with trainers / trainer pools.

The application deadline for trainers and training organisers who have a strategy to train their trainers is 21 September 2014.
Bridges for Trainers 2014 is organised and financed by the Erasmus+ Youth in Action NAs of Austria, Germany, Ireland, Poland, UK and the SALTO Training and Cooperation Resource Centre.
The conference will be moderated by Darko Markovic (RS) and Jonathan Bowyer (UK).
