PROGRAMME COORDINATOR IN PERÙ
Organizational Profile:
Fondazione L’ Albero Della Vita (FADV) is an international development organization headquartered in Milan – Italy. Since 2006, FADV is operating with the primary objective to promote and protect children basic rights along with improving the quality of living conditions of the marginalized people, with special emphasis on children and women.


Job Title: Programme coordinator Perù
Duty station: FADV Lima office
Starting date: October 2014
Duration of the assignment: 12 months, extensible

Role and responsibilities:
Programme Coordinator in Perù is responsible to:
• Manage relationship with FADV partners through regular field visits and undertake project appraisal, monitoring, and evaluation, including financial monitoring; and ensure minimum organizational programme management standards;
• Check technical and financial reports submitted by local partners/project managers and prepare reports according to FADV HQ reporting templates or concerned external donor templates;
• Ensure that Donor contractual obligations are adhered and timely compliance of reporting;
• Coordinate with finance manager for ensuring projects’ sound financial management;
• Ensure recruitment of field staff and management of all field staff in line with FADV policies, ensuring that they have the necessary induction, training and support as required;
• Prepare and conduct feasibility studies for the identification of new Actions in relevant sectors according to Country Strategy Plan;
• Contribute to project formulation together with Regional Coordinator and concerned Desk;
• Implement staff safety and securing procedures as appropriate.

Job Requirements:
• Master degree in Development cooperation, Social Science, or any other relevant field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in the development sector;
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience at managerial level abroad (experience of working in Latin America is desirable);
• Knowledge of financial and administrative management;
• Knowledge of management and accountability procedures or European Commission and Italian ministry of Foreign Affairs;
• Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish and English;
• Competence in the use of all commonly used computer software – spreadsheets and other office programs.

• Proven experience in managing multi-sector projects in a multicultural context;
• Ability to effectively manage a variety of internal and external relationships, including relationships with donors;
• Strong analytical, oral and written communication, and team-building skills;
• Experience of staff management and leading a team under difficult circumstances;
• Ability to work under pressure, with minimal supervision and to respect deadlines;
• Professionalism, integrity and commitment to project demands.
