La ONG umanitaria Intersos ha aperto una selezione per comporre un Rapid Deployment Team composto da esperti in tema di programmi umanitari disponibili per missioni con breve preavviso in Africa, Asia, Medio Oriente. Candidature aperte fino al 30 novembre 2014.

INTERSOS is an independent non-profit humanitarian organization committed to assist the victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts. Its activities are based on the principles of solidarity, justice, human dignity, equality of rights and opportunities, and respect for diversity and coexistence, paying special attention to the most vulnerable and unprotected people.

The rapid deployment team
Experts and professionals in the field of humanitarian programs and emergency interventions, with a roving function, ready to deploy to the field missions with a short notice and for short missions to support ongoing country projects, set up new field operations for INTERSOS or closed up field bases, transfer know-how to the long-term international and local staff, ensuring an immediate response and high quality assistance to the missions.

The goal: ensure rapidity in the assessment, drafting, implementation, monitoring & evaluation of the programs in all the Countries and areas of intervention of the Organization, with a focused, effective and immediate response to changing needs in complex and emergency areas

Who we are looking for
• Heads of Mission (code HM);
• Program Coordinators (code PC);
• Logisticians (code LOG);
• Finance Experts (code FE);
• Project Managers (code GPM);
• Protection and/or Education Project Managers (code PEPM).

Job requirements
• University Degree preferably post graduate degree in a relevant field of study (Management, Social Sciences and International Development etc.). Academic and professional background in Refugees/IDPs/returnees dynamics preferably.
• At least 5 years’ professional experience on the field, within international NGOs or humanitarian organizations, including at least 3 years in emergency settings. Experience with INTERSOS is an asset.
• Experience working with and coordinating with donors including UN (UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP,UNDP etc.), OCHA (ERF), EU, ECHO, OFDA, etc. and knowledge of specific donor guidelines and priorities.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of M&E systems and procedures, in proposal and report development and writing and context analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in HR management, particularly in a multi-cultural environment.
• Demonstrated skills and experience working within INGO finance, security and operational frameworks.
• Mastery of IT tools (MS Office package, internet, e-mail, etc.).
• Proficient knowledge of FRENCH & ENGLISH (spoken and written) is a must. Italian and/or Arabic is an asset.
• Ability to travel extensively and with short notice.

Conditions
Duration:
12 months, renewable dependent on both funding and performance.
Availability: ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
Duty station: Intersos’ HQ / home based 20% – Roving: Intersos’ field missions 80%.
